Who we are
Dear Atlanta, is an initiative.
Not a person. Not an organization. A heartbeat. A non traditional collaborative movement sparked to pull Metro Atlanta together on one page, one story, one community to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic and it’s intersectionalities throughout neighborhoods in metro ATLANTA.
It’s a way of saying to the Fam
Atlanta, we see you.
Atlanta, your stories matter.
Atlanta, we’re generating a future that honors our past yet builds a healthier, hopeful, and solid future.
Dear Atlanta is…
A storytelling home
Where people who are connected to metro Atlanta, whether they grew here or flew here, can bring their memories, their losses, their victories, their truth. Every story is a chapter. Every voice is a verse.
A bridge
Connecting public health, art, community, policy, and good old Southern hospitality. County health departments, libraries, sororities/fraternities, students, uncles, aunties, advocates, cousins, besties, homies, and everyday folks come together to create something bigger than themselves.
A tribute
A way to honor the past, present, and future, with reverence and creativity. A space where we acknowledge our loved ones, uplift stories, and center the communities too often left on the sidelines.
A vessel for change
It mobilizes volunteers, trains community members, opens doors for healing, and shifts the culture around HIV in Metro Atlanta through collective compassion and rich collaboration.
A love offering
From you to the city that inspires & invigorates you.
From the community to each city itself.
From metro Atlanta to the the house.
